Historically the business was established supplying automated textile equipment - knitting machinery, specialised sewing systems for the Hosiery and Apparel sectors, welding machines - and this still forms an important sector of the company's activities.

The company is located in the industrialised central region of the UK close to the main centres of the manufacturing industry. Excellent road, rail and air transportation links exist to other regions of the UK and Mainland Europe. Two International Airports are located within 1 hour by car (EMA and BHX) - London is less than 2 hours by train.
